This e-course is the first one in a series of five offered in the framework of The SUMP Learning Programme, and is dedicated primarily to a selected group of cities that applied in the project's support mechanism. The course is covering topics like analysis and diagnosis of the local mobility situation and planning processes, mobility vision, objectives and priorities, and guidelines on the starting steps in developing an own local SUMP.
Small cities and towns have different strategic planning needs than big cities and metropolitan areas. It is not seldom to meet clusters of small cities that provide a cooperation example when they join efforts in shaping a viable sustainable mobility system that covers a wider areal. The course focuses on the phase of measure selection and planning for implementation. It covers topics such as identifying, collecting, rating, prioritising, selecting and packaging measures as well as action planning and gaining approval for measures.

This is the fifth and final e-course of the SUMP Learning Programme, dedicated primarily to a selected group of experienced cities that applied in SUMPs-UP's support mechanism. The course focuses on the phase of planning for implementation, financing and procurement. It covers topics such as action planning, institutional cooperation, management and monitoring of the plan implementation and all the steps to be ready for financing and procuring sustainable transport.
