  • Unit 1: Introduction

The TIDE project addresses a range of innovative measures in transport (pricing measures, non-motorised transport, data and traffic management, electric mobility, public transport organisation). This course addresses how innovations in each of these areas fit into the larger picture of sustainable urban mobility planning in your town, city or region.

  • Unit 2: Background and context

This unit talks about sustainable urban moblity plans, what makes them different from traditional transportation plans, and why they are valuable for a city.

  • Unit 3: SUMP and cooperation

It's important to think broadly about the groups and organisations to cooperate with in order to be successful.

  • Unit 4: Challenges to cooperation

There are many bodies and levels with whom you need to communicate and cooperate in the context of sustainable urban mobility planning and integrative planning, but there is also the potential for challenges about which you should be aware.

  • Unit 5: Policy interactions

As no measure takes place in isolation, it is important to consider how different policy measures can affect one another.

  • Unit 6: Participation

Who should participate in the planning process and what does true participation look like?

  • Unit 7: Integration

Integration of policy measures can take place vertically, sectorally or spatially.

  • Unit 8: Conclusion

What have you learned and what else can you learn from the TIDE project?
